Walking Tour of Media's Green Spaces (1)
Time & Location
About The Event
RAIN DATE: September 14th
Join Keep Media Green for a 2.5 mile walking tour (mostly in the shade) of Media Borough's existing parks and currently unprotected green open spaces. We will meet at Houtman Park and visit 5 other green sites over the course of the morning, ending at the Broomall's tract at 3rd & West Streets near the north entrance to Glen Providence Park.
WHY WE'RE WALKING
The Walking Tour will help to focus public attention on the need to preserve and protect Media’s valuable green spaces – both publicly and privately owned, including land that is currently protected and land that is at risk – and also will serve to connect people with the actual green spaces we need to save or sustain. It’s also a way to bring our supporters together, create community, have fun, and get some exercise.
