Middletown Voters Approve Open Space Purchase

Good news from our neighboring township of Middletown Township!
On May 21, 2019, the voters of Middletown Township overwhelmingly approved an $8 million bond for the township to purchase 80.9 acres of open space from Elwyn, Inc. to establish a natural recreational area at Forge and Valley Roads. The measure, which will increase the median household real estate tax by $8.47 per month, won by a more than 3 to 1 margin.

We hope that our own elected officials are paying attention to the growing taxpayer movement to defend open space and to prioritize spending tax dollars for that purpose.
