Middletown Voters Approve Open Space Purchase

Good news from our neighboring township of Middletown Township!

On May 21, 2019, the voters of Middletown Township overwhelmingly approved an $8 million bond for the township to purchase 80.9 acres of open space from Elwyn, Inc. to establish a natural recreational area at Forge and Valley Roads. The measure, which will increase the median household real estate tax by $8.47 per month, won by a more than 3 to 1 margin.

Read about it here.

Keep Media Green congratulates – and extends a hearty THANK YOU-- to the residents of Middletown Township for demonstrating vision and good judgment to preserve open, green space for future generations.

We hope that our own elected officials are paying attention to the growing taxpayer movement to defend open space and to prioritize spending tax dollars for that purpose.
